The girls cross country team placed 5th in a field of 11 teams at the Laingsburg Invite on Thursday, August 29th. The top five scorers for the Lady Glads were separated by an impressive 48 seconds. Lilly Copeland led the team placing 22nd in a time of 22:53. She was followed closely by Franny Updike placing 25th in 23:03. Avery Copeland had a outstanding performance cutting nearly 3 minutes off her time from the previous race and crossing the line 3rd for the Glads. Annie Beach and Gabby Damerow both cut around 2 minutes off their previous race to round out the team score. Also cutting nearly 2 minutes off her time was Reagan Esch crossing as the sixth runner for the Gladiators in a time of 24 minutes and 33 seconds.  Every girl improved their time from the previous race.  Complete results can be found at athletic.net.
