The Varsity softball team won a district title on Saturday night defeating Haslett in the semi-finals 3-2 and Mason in the Championship game 4-3.
Game one was won with Leah Ash on the mound. Ash allowed 2 earned runs on 3 hits and struck out 5. The Gladiators put together 6 hits in the semi-final game. Parker Douglass went 2 for 3, Haley Curd was 1 for 3 with an RBI and Emmalee Felver went 1 for 1 with a run and an RBI.
Ash also pitched the complete game in the Championship game. She allowed 2 earned runs on 4 hits and struck out 8. Arin Szumlinski and Peyton Boden each had two hits for the Gladiators. Boden also had two RBI's.
This is the first district title for the Gladiator softball program since the 2015-2016 season.
