The Varsity softball team defeated Lansing Catholic in two games on Thursday.
Game one was decided in 5 innings with a score of 15-5. Leah Ash took care of business on the mound for the Gladiators allowing 6 hits and 3 earned runs while striking out 10 Cougar batters. Offensively, the Gladiators put together 17 hits including a double from Haley Curd and Lindsey Darby. Parker Douglass and Lexi Border each had 3 RBI's.
Game two went a full 7 innings and ended with the Gladiators on top 19-8. Carlie Atcheson got the win in the night cap allowing 11 hits, 4 earned runs and struck out 5. Ginelle Leslie hit two homeruns in game two, and Arin Szumlinski added another homerun. Peyton Boden added a triple and had 2 RBI's.
The Gladiators are now 10-8 (4-0 league).
