The Varsity softball team defeated Williamston on Tuesday night with scores of 16-2 (5 innings) and 10-0 (5 innings). Carlie Atcheson pitched both games allowing only 5 hits on the night while striking out 11 Hornet batters. In game one, the Gladiators put together 11 hits. Morgan Byerle hit a homerun, while Atcheson, Lexi Border, Parker Douglass, Ginelle Leslie and Emmalee Felver each added doubles for the Glads. Border, Douglass, Byerle and Lindsey Darby each hit a double in the second game where the Gladiators added 9 more hits.
The Gladiators are now 7-7 (4-0 league) and will take on Portland at home on Thursday at 4:00 pm.
