The Fowlerville Freshman volleyball team had their home tournament on Saturday. Participating teams were Purple Pool: Fowlerville, Charlotte, East Lansing, Everett. Gold Pool: Williamston, Portland, St. John’s, Eastern.

Fowlerville took first in their pool, going 5-1. Heading into bracket play, where they defeated Eastern in quarter-finals, making to semi-finals to verse St. John’s. Fowlerville came out on top to advance to the Championship game verse Williamston. Fowlerville fell to the Lady Hornets in two sets. Taking Second place overall.

We played great defense during the day. Leading scorers for the day were Heidi Curd with 23 overall points; Katie Bigos with 32 overall points and Julia Johnson with 38 overall points on the day. Ava Kuch and Ava Rajala have a couple blocks at the net to help advance the lady glads. Great hustle from Brooke Krueger, Julia Johnson and Faith Temple.
