The Fowlerville Girls Cross Country team traveled to Haslett on Tuesday, September 29 and were on the winning side of a hard fought battle in the CAAC Red. Despite the Haslett girls coming out fast and taking the lead in the first mile, the girls ran their race and never gave up. They ended the 5000m course with 2 personal records and 4 seasons best times.
The varsity girls were led by Lilly Copeland finishing 2nd in a time of 20:59. Haslett took the next two spots before the Fowlerville girls packed together taking the next 5 spots. Annie Beach ran a season's best time of 21:52 placing 5th. She was followed closely by Avery Copeland (21:55) in 6th place. Molly Kilpela continues to improve running a personal record time 22:03 placing 7th. Alaina Borowy placed 8th in a time of 22:25 and Gabby Damerow placed 9th running a season's best time of 22:33. Reagan Esch rounded out the varsity in a time of 23:51.
The Junior Varsity team came through with several season's best and personal record times. They were led by Allie Davis running a season's best time of 23:37. Amanda Fogo had a great race cutting nearly 45 seconds off her best time crossing the line in 24:14. Ramsey Lukasik also ran a season's best time of 26:28. Rounding out the JV squad was Jenna Gill (24:26), Isabella Damerow (26:36) and Trisha Seiter.
The Gladiators travel to Stockbridge on Friday, October 2nd. The varsity girls race at 4:40p and the JV is at 6pm.
